Praveen Rajan

Praveen heads up Digi-X, a brand new innovation unit within Digi that aims to imagine, create and grow compelling digital services and businesses beyond the traditional telco. Digi-X also leads the company’s efforts to incubate, accelerate, invest and acquire startups in Malaysia. Praveen is enthusiastic about democratising technology which explains his ongoing fascination for all things digital, having spent more than 15 years in the internet and mobile industries. He joined Digi in 2007 and was appointed Chief Digital Officer on 1 June 2016. Prior to Digi, he co-founded a social networking startup called LifeLogger in 2003, where he served as the Chief Technology Officer.

Danish Farhan

Danish is an investor, entrepreneur, strategist and father. He is the founder of hybrid consulting boutique Xische & Co. in Dubai and New York. Danish has been one of the youngest successful start-up entrepreneurs in the Middle East. After dropping out of 3 different universities, he founded new media firm in 2001 at age nineteen, later successfully exiting in 2004. Fuelled by his personal philosophy of ‘hybrid thinking,’ he founded category-busting boutique consulting firm Xische & Co. in Dubai and New York. Danish has spent fourteen years advising, building, and managing ventures for clients such as the UAE Prime Minister’s Office, Government of Dubai, Dubai Holding, DIFC, Qatar World Cup, BMW & Giorgio Armani. Born in Libya, raised in Dubai, Danish is passionate about design, culture, technology, and entrepreneurship. He is an exhibiting artist, and a regular speaker at design and entrepreneurship events. He is a keynote speaker and visiting lecturer, and regularly blogs on topics including design thinking, entrepreneurship and business culture. When he’s not creating imaginary worlds with his sons, Danish’s idea of ‘time-off’ is playing angel investor and mentor to budding local startups in the UAE. He is Chairman of investment boutique Xische Holdings, a privately-held group that includes an emerging technology firm, a design consultancy and a recently launched Dubai-based startup incubator.

Currently the Head of International Growth at Tinder, and previous VP of Humin (acquired by Tinder), the Technology Executive and early stage investor is passionate about building and growing innovative technology services. Prior to Humin, he was the founding member of the Growth & Expansion team at Spotify helping Spotify expand to 75 Mil MAU and 20 mil paying users in over 60 countries. Before Spotify, Sriram worked in management consulting, advising PE firms on M&A transactions and Fortune 500 companies on growth and organisation strategy.

Senthil is the present Director of Business Development - SE Asia at Uber, and his role includes driving key strategic partnerships, corporates and business development in the region. Previously, he was with the AirAsia Group for over 8 years in various roles. He was the Regional Director for Network & Regulatory Affairs. Prior to AirAsia Group, Senthil worked in Malaysia Airlines and Astro All Asia Network. Senthil graduated from the University of Auckland.

Gary Liu

Gary is currently the CEO of Digg, a New York based content discovery startup. Previously, Gary was Head of Spotify Labs, where he led emerging technologies and new business strategies for Spotify's global markets. Prior to that, he was Spotify's Global Director of Ad Product Strategy. Before Spotify, Gary was the Director of Sales Strategy and Operations at AOL (Patch), and was a business and sales operations leader at both Clickable and Google. Born in California, Gary grew up in Taiwan and New Zealand, but has called the US Northeast his home for the past 19 years. He now lives in New York City with his wife Katrina, a pediatric dentist, 2 cats, and a dog. Ironically, he is extremely allergic to animals, and is deathly afraid of dentists. Gary holds a BA in Economics from Harvard University.

Dee is the CEO and Co-Founder of MoneyLion. Prior to founding the Company in late 2013, Dee spent 11 years on Wall Street, holding various positions at Goldman Sachs, Citadel, and Barclays. Dee focused much of his time advising and investing in financial institutions, tech-enabled lenders, brokers and asset managers. Dee and his co-founders found significant opportunity to create a direct-to-consumer online financial services firm as a result of the confluence of events leading to the US mortgage crisis, which in turn kept banks from providing a full spectrum of consumer finance products directly to consumers. Dee holds an Economics B.A. with Honors from the University of Chicago and participates in various philanthropic activities in New York City, where he lives with his wife and child.

Jerome Axle Brown

Axle had an exciting career advancement during his early years while working on two Obama presidential campaigns, and moved on to Entrepreneurship and Innovation projects with the U.S. Department of Energy. He stumbled upon the Open Master’s Program that opened up a whole new world of possibilities for him. After two years of self -taught UX designing skills, he turned down an opportunity at the White house to follow through with an 18 - month research sabbatical in SEA. Axle is now the design lead at Human Inc, specifically focused on strategic R&D, business development and workshop facilitation.

As Spotify's first employee and CTO, Andreas was responsible for the product and platform architecture as well as hiring a world-class engineering team, of which many have gone on to become successful entrepreneurs on their own. After Spotify Andreas co-founded Wrapp, a mobile online-to-offline customer acquisition service for bricks-and-mortar retailers that raised money from prominent investors including Atomico and Greylock and at one point set up offices in 18 countries from Taiwan to Brazil. Now Andreas is learning about the world through ten countries in five years and is open for consulting gigs, advisory roles and angel investing.

Previously, he was the CEO of Calcey, Mangala also serves as the co-chairman of FARO (Foundation for Advancing Rural Opportunity); a nonprofit organization, which actively assists rural youth in Sri Lanka to find sustainable employment in the outsourcing industry and Karuna Trust.
