Sajid Reshamwala

Lead Product Designer – Jut, Inc.

Sajid is a product designer with a focus on user centered design and humanizing technology. He spends his after hours teaching a brilliant group of students at the Academy of Arts and trying to find people that’ll work on fun side projects with him. Before joining Jut, Sajid was a UX designer and design researcher at Yahoo! and studied design research and interaction design at the IIT Institute of Design in Chicago.

Founder & Managing Director of Innov8tif Solutions which enables Enterprises with instant and paperless customer acquisition with mobility technologies. Innov8tif is also a winner of the 2014 Red Herring Top 100 Asia Award. Previously Co-Founder of Joget Workflow and Sales Director at The Media Shoppe (TMS) Berhad. 

 

 

Rama Mamuaya

Founder – DailySocial

Rama Mamuaya is the founder of DailySocial.net, and he contributes to both the Indonesian and English versions of the site. Rama handles everything for his beloved blog from reports, codes, webmaster stuff, doing researches, events and even washing the dishes.

 

 

Rodrigo Martinez

Rodrigo Martinez is a Chilean internet pioneer that founded and successfully sold two of the world’s largest tech startups: STI Internet (Brazil’s 4th largest ISP) and hpG (largest free web hosting service in portuguese) without a single dollar from investors. In Brazil Rodrigo was honored with iBest’s TOP3 New Entrepreneur and TOP3 Internet Entrepreneur awards. A highly sought after mentor, speaker, judge and strategic advisor across the different entrepreneurial ecosystems in Southeast Asia and beyond, he is passionate about fostering successful entrepreneurship wherever he goes.

 

 

Jeffrey Char

Jeff, is a serial entrepreneur with a focus on social and tech ventures. He’s CEO of J-Seed Ventures, a Tokyo based venture incubator and he’s also chief mentor at Venture Generation. Originally from Hawaii, Jeff has been a long-term resident of Japan. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Jeff worked as an attorney and investment banker. He’s a Berkeley and Harvard Law School alumnus.

Tzu Ming

Tzu Ming runs a Google Certified Partner Analytics and Adwords Agency which focuses on Web Analytics and monetization of eCommerce websites. He was most recently Partner and CEO of a regional based Venture Capital firm where he invested, restructured and took public many high growth companies including one of Asia’s leading Online Advertising networks on the London Stock Exchange. He has also consulted with leading Management and Technology consulting firms AT Kearney and Deloitte Consulting where he was involved in Oracle Applications and Databases.

 

Hussin Khan

Hussin Khan is the After Effects Evangelist who is credited in movies like Life of Pi, The Hunger Games and Mr Popper’s Penguins whilst he was working for Rhythm and Hues. He now owns the first Certified Nuke Training Centre in South East Asia focuses in Visual Effects training.

Oko has 9 years of experience being an entrepreneur, meanwhile simultaneously giving back to the community by leading efforts that have designed and shaped the Mongolian startup ecosystem. He has been a part of the UP Global network and community since 2011 and launched Startup Mongolia to drive economic growth and quality training and resources for early stage startups and entrepreneurs.

Jocelyn Ling

Co-founder - The Design Gym

Jocelyn comes to the world of design via the business and social enterprise world. She is a connector, investor and strategist, where she thrives on piecing together unexpected findings/moments/people. She is an Investment Consultant with the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group), where she is conducting deal sourcing and initial diligence for private health and education companies across sub-Saharan Africa.

Renuka Sena

Renuka has been a serial entrepreneur participating in many different entrepreneurial ventures at different levels of management, owner/shareholder and CEO. She has since divested her roles and shares in all but 3 ventures and over the past 5 years has been coaching and mentoring passionate Technopreneurs as co-founder of Proficeo Consultants.

Dinesh Nair

Director Developer Experience & Evangelism – Microsoft

Dinesh leads Microsoft’s effort to introduce, evangelize and show how Microsoft innovations can positively transform Malaysian education, businesses and lives. He is leading the charge in local technology innovation and application development as the Malaysian ICT landscape evolves towards cloud computing, with an increased emphasis of new devices and form factors like smartphones and tablets.
Dinesh has spent over 20 years in the ICT industry, from being an entrepreneur to working in both the private and government sectors: Open Source software development and integration; Internet and cyber security policy, planning and deployment.

Lau Cher Han

CTO - Co-oprating.com

Dr. Lau Cher Han is currently an IT trainer, consultant and CTO of Co-oprating.com. Of his career, he builds many web and mobile applications using a wide range of technology stack. He built Co-oprating.com using ASP.NET on Azure Cloud, running NoSQL database. Dr. Lau is a senior member of QUT Mobile Innovation Lab that delivers app training and develop apps, previously he developed a news detection system using machine learning and text mining for FairFax Digital (Australia). During his PhD, he created a news mining system to detect news from microblogs, by processing tweets with big data analysis technique, using a wide range of tools of Python, Ruby and Rails, .NET to hazardous material MEAN.

Thomas Cheah

Thomas Cheah is an experienced senior technologist who has strong business sense and entrepreneur spirit. He has been the CTO and co-founder of many technology startups, providing his expertise not only in product development, but also in minimizing product market risk through rapid prototyping, minimum-viable-product design, agile development, growth hacking, and leveraging on other cost or time saving technology shortcuts. Over the years, he has made himself to be a visionary technologist with sound business acumen.

Daniel Stillman

The Design Gym

Daniel started off as a Physicist, studied Industrial Design, then evolved into a User Experience Design Consultant. Prior to starting the Design Gym, he had the pleasure of working on product and service design projects, as well as mobile, web and embedded interfaces for clients from Abbot to Yamaha. He is also 1/4 of GothamSmith, a line of 3D printed products.

Grace Sai

Co-founder - HUB Singapore

Grace is the Director of Social Entrepreneurship at MaGIC, the Malaysian national agency for entrepreneurship; CEO and Co-Founder of The Hub Singapore, Singapore’s largest community and incubator for purpose-driven entrepreneurs; and Head, Singapore of Toniic LLC, a global impact investor network. An ecosystem builder, she is a node for social entrepreneurship in Asia and speaks widely on that topic.

Noah is Senior Product Manager at Expedia. He helps strategize, design and work with developers to plan, prototype, build and ship software on web and mobile. His role has brought him through early-stage start-ups and post-acquisition, worldwide tech companies working with founding members and hundred-member groups across multiple continents.

Hakim Albasrawy

Co-founder - Tandemic

Hakim is a co-founder of Tandemic. He has also kickstarted initiatives like shuttlego.com and codemalaysia.com. He recently was chosen as one of the recipients of Bumiputera Entrepreneurs Startup Scheme (SUPERB) which is a grant to commercialise innovative ideas.

Yong Fook

Founder – Beatrixapp and Author – Growth Hacking Handbook

Jon Yongfook is a tech entrepreneur and marketer. Previously he was founder of a popular recipe portal (acquired) and CTO at one of Japan’s biggest ecommerce sites. He currently runs a SaaS company and is a mentor at Singapore Management University and True Incube Thailand, a 500 Startups Partner.

Richard is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Interbase Resources Sdn. Bhd, which operates www.lelong.my, Malaysia’s largest online auction portal and www.SuperBuy.my, an online fixed price e-commerce mall.

Shaun Lee is the co-founder of one of Malaysia’s leading daily deals group buying site, www.milkadeal.com together with co-founder Wilson Quah in January 2011. Other than MilkADeal, Shaun also operates other commerce websites such as Hishop.my, Hishop.sg, Jackcow.com and Janeholli.com

Chan Kok Long

Chan Kok Long is one of the 3 key founders of iPay88 Sdn Bhd and currently is the Executive Director of iPay88 Sdn. Bhd and Mobile88.com Sdn Bhd. Both companies are the leading service provider in its own field in the South East Region (SEA). He is responsible for the strategic direction of iPay88 Sdn. Bhd and plays very active role in the overall management. As such, he had developed lots of comprehensive Marketing Strategies in promoting iPay88 as the leading South East Asia payment gateway provider. Under his leadership, iPay88 is now the Market Leader in the payment gateway industry in Malaysia and in the overseas market front, iPay88 and Mobile88 have successfully penetrated into Indonesia, Philippines and Singapore. Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia will be the next market expansion in the near future.
